El Vino - User Guide

If you know exactly what you are looking for

Simply click on the 'Shop for Wine' link on the left hand side of the home page. This will take you through to our on-line shop, where you can search for wines according to style and region, or by entering a specific producer name or style into the search facility below the menu.

If you want to browse

You can browse the site by clicking on the many links. If you are, for example, looking for the address and directions of one of our City bars, simply click on the 'Winebars' link in the top left hand corner, and you will be automatically re-directed to the relevant page. You can return to the home page at any time by clicking on the 'Home' button in the top left hand corner. To browse our wine shop, please click on the large 'Shop for Wine' link on the left hand side, and you will then be able to browse our extensive selection by style, region or grape.

What are the Top 6 Wines?

Our top six wines are our best-selling wines of the moment. You can buy a case of our best-selling wines (two of each wine) by entering the shop and clicking on the relevant case displayed on the front page.

Adding bottles to your wine basket

If you would like to order a certain wine or a case, simply click on the 'Add to Basket' link displayed in the bottom right hand corner. This will take you through to a quantity page, where you can specify the number of bottles you would like to purchase. Remember, with El Vino you can order as many or as few of any particular wine as you please - you are not obligated to buy individual wines by the case. This feature therefore allows you to mix and match your cases to suit your taste and requirements. You then have the option to proceed through to the check-out or to continue shopping.

If you are lost

This is very unlikely, but if it does happen, simply click on “home” in the top left corner of your page, you will then be taken to the Home page.

Placing your order when you have finished shopping

Once you have items in your basket, you can check the cart at any time simply by clicking the 'Check Your Basket' link on the left hand side of the page. This will take you immediately to your order summary, where you will be able to add to or amend your order. Once you are happy with the order, simply click on the 'Proceed to Checkout' link, and you will be taken to the payment/delivery pages.

It is very important that you fill out your details accurately, and that you check them thoroughly before progressing to the next stage. Should you be unsure as to what details you need to enter, please give us a quick call on 020 7353 5384 and one of our staff will be happy to advise you.

You will be first asked for your Card Details. Please double-check these once you have entered them. If you are unsure what a security number is, please turn your credit card over and enter the last three digits of the number on the signature strip. This is NOT necessary for Amex cards.

Having done this you will then be asked to enter the billing address. It is very important that the address entered is the address to which the credit card is registered. If the details do not match the payment will be rejected. You must enter the full address, including a full postal code.

Finally you may select the address to which you would like the order despatched. This may be any address in the UK. Please click the relevant button, and if you are requesting the wine to be sent elsewhere, fill in the address and contact details. Please do not forget to include a contact telephone number as we will need this in case of problems with delivery.

What happens after I have placed an order?

A message will be sent automatically to the e-mail address as provided by you on the Cardholder Details page. This gives the full details of your order. Once we have checked your credit card details and our own inventory we will send to you a second e-mail confirming that your order has been processed. Shortly after this, your delivery will be made.
